Titled ‘Bright’ this original artwork was created in the summer of 2020 this is a limited-edition reduction lino print of just 4, due to the nature of the process the plate is destroyed during the making of the edition. This piece is hand printed on Okawara Select paper sized 21 x 26 cm in size with an image sized 15.5 x 20 cm.

I have always been fascinated with the human form, most recently this has led me to portraiture. The portrait to me is real, honest and familiar to us; it helps us understand what it is to be human. This is from a series of works created in ‘lockdown’ in my home studio exploring the reduction technique and celebrating colour. All work is hand printed.

This piece is a combination of different pieces of lino arranged together like a jigsaw to create each block of colour, along with a reduction method where lino is cut away before printing the next layer.

The print is shipped flat with an acid free cardboard backing to protect it during transit, artwork is unframed. While every care is taken to document the work true to life, there may be some slight variation due to individual monitor settings.
